The Migraine Epidemic

Migraine ranks in the top 10 of ALL disability-causing diseases, illnesses and conditions

Migraine has reached an epidemic scale yet it is still largely ignored and grossly underfunded by public institutions around the world.

The Global Burden of Disease Study reported that migraine is the world’s sixth largest disabler. That means migraine has climbed into the top 10 of all disability-causing diseases, illnesses and conditions.

Migraine is more common than asthma, epilepsy, and diabetes combined. Yet, it is the least funded neurological illness relative to its impact.

Last year, multiple sclerosis received 100 times more funding per patient than migraine from the National Institutes of Health.

This is a gross imbalance. Many would argue that this injustice perpetuates the widespread ignorance and stigma about migraine and other headache disorders.

That’s why I'm proud to share the Migraine World Summit: the world’s best kept secret for knowledgeable migraine and headache patients.

The summit is not only for those who want to be informed about the latest issues and efforts in the headache field, but also to discover research breakthroughs and proven treatment strategies that we can apply.

The virtual summit is free from March 20-28th, 2019.

The summit will feature 32 experts including doctors and specialists from world-leading institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, Cleveland Clinic, Stanford University, John Hopkins Hospital, and the International Headache Society.

Register now for your complimentary pass now - it starts in one week.
